The Concept

BeautifEYE MedSpa is a concept developed by our founder, Dr. Ilene Mason, OD. Her idea was to create a space where everything related to the eye is available in one place. She's been helping patients SEE better for almost 30 years. But she believes there is also value in helping patients LOOK their best! She also discovered that some of the "aesthetic" treatments also benefit overall eye health. Conditions such as Dry Eye Disease can be greatly improved by these aesthetic services.

Kristelle Lusby, MD

Our Medical Director, Dr. Lusby, is one of the most well-known plastic surgeons in the area. She is truly dedicated to providing the best care possible for her patients. She believes in treating the patient as a whole. She also believes that choosing the best treatment plan to achieve the patient’s goals will allow them to live their best life. Peggy Humphries, LE, RN

At BeautifEYE MedSpa, we are so lucky to have one of the BEST medical aesthetic providers in the area. Peggy Humphries, RN was recognized in 2024 by "The Best Aesthetic Injectors in America".

Peggy became a medical aesthetics nurse after her skincare clients encouraged her to offer more advanced beauty treatments as they aged. With a background as an esthetician since 2004, Peggy’s passion for beauty and wellness led her to pursue an Associates in Science Degree at Cabrillo College, where she graduated with honors in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2016. During her time there, she was honored with the Beth Blanchette Scholarship in Sciences.

She received her Registered Nurse License in California in February 2019.

Her interest in medical aesthetics grew during nursing school, and in April 2019, Peggy began practicing medical aesthetics under the mentorship of a local physician.

2019 was a milestone year for Peggy as she proudly realized her dream of ownership by founding Butterfly Esthetics MD. In 2022, she had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Kristelle Lusby, MD who became her medical director and is now the medical director at BeautifEYE Med Spa. Peggy is deeply committed to her personal and professional growth, regularly attending trainings, conferences, and mentorships to refine her skills and stay at the forefront of the latest treatment innovations.

When she's not helping clients look and feel their best, Peggy can be found taking peaceful walks in the forest.
